Subject: IF A TREE FALLS doc about Daniel McGowan opens next week!

IF A TREE FALLS OPENS NEXT WEEK IN NYC AND EUGENE, ORGEON

IF A TREE FALLS explores the transformation and
radicalization of, Daniel McGowan, a NYC native
who moved out West in the late 1990s to become
involved with the Earth Liberation Front, a
radical environment group that the FBI has called
America's number one domestic terrorism
threat. The film interweaves a chronicle of
McGowan facing life in prison with a dramatic
investigation of the events that led to his
involvement with the ELF. Using
never-before-seen archival footage and intimate
interviews with cell members and with the
prosecutor and detective who were chasing them
IF A TREE FALLS asks hard questions about
environmentalism, activism, and the way we define terrorism in America today.

In New York, the IFC run (at 323 Sixth Ave at
West 3rd Street) begins June 22nd and more info
