Break the chains Blog turns 4

The Break the chains blog just turned 4 years old. What started as a public archive of mostly US Green Scare stories has blossomed to report stories of struggle and resistance to state repression around the world.

If you look through the archive of almost 3,000 stories you can clearly
see how governments react to liberation movements in the last four years.
You can also see that no matter what kinds of repression governments
inflict on individuals and movements, the struggle for liberation
continues, albeit quietly sometimes.

The blog has also received almost two hundred thousand visitors. The
political prisoners events calendar is mostly up-to-date and people can
post their own events on the calendar.

Thanks for everyone on the list for posting stories and making the blog a
good resource.
