What’s the latest?
In March 2010, the Center for Constitutional Rights (CCR) filed a
federal lawsuit challenging the policies and conditions of two
Communications Management Units (CMUs) on behalf of prisoners and
their family members.
Just several weeks ago, after more than three years without public
comment and accountability, the Bureau of Prisons (BOP) has proposed
rules regarding the CMU.
The BOP released their new proposed rules and the public (that means
you, your friends, anyone) is able to submit comments (your thoughts
and opinions) for a 90-day period.
What can you do?
