4strugglemag: Views, Thoughts, and Analysis from the Hearts and Minds of North American Political Prisoners and Friends

4strugglemag is a project of the Toronto chapter of the Anarchist Black Cross Federation and is edited by anti-imperialist political prisoner, Jaan Laaman. We print writing by political prisoners and their supporters.

4strugglemag is an independent non-sectarian revolutionary voice. We are unapologetically anti-imperialist and solidly in support of progressive National Liberation, especially the struggles of New African/Black, Mexicano/Chicano, Puerto Rican and Native American Nations presently controlled by U.S. imperialism. Reflecting the work and principles of political prisoners held by the United States, 4strugglemag advocates for Justice, Equality, Freedom, Socialism, Protection of our Mother Earth, Human Rights and Peace.

To print: print double sided on legal sized paper (8.5 x 14 inches) and then fold in half.

Instead of blaming the right and the CIA for the coup like most commentators on the left, Pointblank! point out the role that Allende and the parties of the left played in demobilising the powerful working class, undermining their strength and eventually signing their own death warrants by refusing to arm them

Operation Backfire: a Survival Guide for Environmental and Animal Rights Activists

The National Lawyers Guild has created a great new resource, “Operation Backfire: a Survival Guide for Environmental and Animal Rights Activists.” It’s a booklet on how environmental and animal rights activists have been targeted by the government and branded as the top domestic terrorism threat. It also has a great “know your rights” section that offers information on:

* handling encounters with the police and FBI in various situations
* suggestions for how to respond when questioned or presented with a warrant
* information about your rights when asked for identification or a DNA sample
* a discussion of grand juries, subpoenas, and FBI attempts to turn activists into informants.
