Call for submissions for resistance and prison gallery show fundraiser

from infoshop news april 8, 2008

Yet another fundraiser for the rev, huh?

This May 1st, what some people like to call May Day, MKEtoRNC, a
group of Milwaukee area anarchists and anti-authoritarians organizing
against the upcoming Republican National Convention (RNC), will be
hosting a prison and resistance theme gallery show as a fundraiser
for those who were recently arrested in Milwaukee during an anti-war
protest and for a general prisoner and legal defense fund to support
those are currently and may also one day be entangled in and held
captive by our lovely prison industrial complex.

For resistance to be a sustained project, its material and social
support must become a sustained project as well.

We are calling for submissions (but not submissiveness) from thrill
seeking resistance enthusiasts and prison haters around the country
to donate all or some of the proceeds from the sales of their artwork
in this gallery to the Milwaukee Legal Defense Fund. Please drop off
submissions to the Cream City Collectives (address listed below) or
mail carefully. Work is strongly encouraged to be, mounted or framed
in some way and dropped off or sent by April 25th.
