Currently being held in a Federal prison in Connecticut, Avelino is being denied bail, is in solitary confines for 23 hours a day and being denied communication with family and legal council. Come learn about Avelino and Los Macheteros!!

Join The Brecht Forum, The ProLibertad Freedom Campaign and the Popular Education Project to Free the Cuban 5 for a night in Solidarity with the Cuban 5 and the Puerto Rican Political Prisoners. Come hear updates on both cases and watch a screening of “The Trial”, the latest documentary on the Cuban 5!!

There will be brief discussion on how people can support the work to free the Cuban 5 and the Puerto Rican Political Prisoners. This event is part of FREEDOM MONTH, a month long series of events, dedicated to the Puerto Rican Political Prisoners,
