The Anarchist Birthday Brigade (ABB)/ Joint Birthday
Project began has a collaboration between the Los
Angeles Anarchist Black Cross Federation (LA-ABCF) and
Break the Chains (BTC). In small gestures, it is
designed to let Political Prisoners and Prisoners of
War know that they are still in our minds and in our
hearts during certain seasons or holidays. Please take

Gazzola is an activist imprison for her involvement in
a campaign to shut down the Huntingdon Life Sciences.
In May of 2004, six individuals, along with the animal
rights organization Stop Huntingdon Animal Cruelty
USA, were charged with violations of various federal
criminal statutes, most notably the Animal Enterprise
Protection Act (AEPA), a/k/a the Animal Enterprise
Terrorism Act. Gazzola was convicted of 6 felonies and
sentenced to 52 months in prison.

McGowan is a environmental and social justice activist
serving a 7 year sentence for his involvement in
various alleged ELF actions. Prior to his arrest he
was a long time anarchist who also dedicated his time
to numerous political prisoners campaigns. He is also
part of the Prisoner Committee of the ABCF.

Alvaro Luna Hernandez was sentenced in Odessa, TX on
June 2-9, 1997 to 50 years in prison for defending
himself by disarming a police officer drawing a weapon
on him (unarmed). He was a target of police repression
because of his years of prison and community activism.

Mondo We Langa is a former Omaha Panther falsely
accused of a 1970 bombing that killed a cop. Recent
evidence has emerged that has proved that a FBI cover
up took place to frame We Langa and his co-defendant.
This was yet another example of COITELPRO in action.
