From H-Block to the St. Andrews Agreement: A Night with Sinn Fein
On November 11, Irish Northern Aid and the Workmen’s
Circle will host “From H-Block to the St. Andrews
Agreement: A Night with Sinn Fein.” The event will
address the last 25 years of Irish Resistance against
a British Occupation and the effects of the recent St.
Andrews agreement.
Sinn Fein’s Thomas O’Reilly, Member of the Legislative
Assembly for Fermanagh / South Tyrone, will speak on
the recent negotiations held at St Andrews, Scotland,
to restore partnership Government in N. Ireland, and
outline Sinn Fein’s, Campaign for a United Ireland.
A member of the Irish Northern Aid will also speak on
the 1981 hunger strike and the history of resistance
in Ireland.
The event will include a small video presentation,
which will highlight two former Irish hunger strikers.
The Irish Northern Aid wishes to extend an invitation
to those individuals/organizations who work for the
liberation and freedom for all people. The INA hopes
to build unity with all communities with a common
struggle. All people’s liberation movements are
welcome.
The event will be held 11 November (7:00 – 9:30) at
The Workmen’s Circle/Arbeter Ring, 1525 S. Robertson
Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90035
The event is free to the public though donations are
greatly accepted to cover the expenses of Councilor
O’Reilly’s trip.
