Earth Day has once again rolled around, so that means it's time to reclaim this corporate holiday by supporting eco-prisoners, finding out about groups fighting environmental destruction, and dancing our asses off!

Come celebrate Earth Day in style with Your 33 Black Angels, Darren Deicide, Oogle Orphanage, The Forthrights and Shit Lovin Angels.

Also, vegan treats, drinks and a raffle!

All proceeds will go towards groups protecting the environment in the Pacific Northwest and to political prisoner Daniel McGowan.

Benefit for Jonathan Paul

Saturday, April 26th
7pm
$5 donation

The Red and Black Cafe
400 SE 12th Ave and Oak
Portland, OR

This will be a benefit for activist Jonathan Paul, who is currently serving time in jail for his role in an action claimed by the Earth Liberation Front. Paul pled guilty to one count of conspiracy and one count of arson for his role in the 1997 fire at the Cavel West horsemeat slaughterhouse in Redmond, Oregon, that destroyed the plant and led to its permanent closure.

Many lives have been turned upside down by this Green Scare perpetuated by the government. Please come to this event and support the folks in jail for doing what's right. There will be live music, as well as tables and talks by the Portland Animal Defense League, The Civil Liberties Defense Center, Eberhardt Press and more. There will be a $5 donation and the money will go to Jonathan's legal fund. However, NO ONE will be turned away for lack of funds.

Come learn stuff and have fun!
