Jalil Muntaqim Forced to Submit to DNA test... again

Date: Jun 30, 2006 12:24 PM
Yesterday Jalil was visited at Auburn and he retold us what happened to him on Tuesday. I won't go into intense detail here as I am pressed for time, but he was removed from his cell in the early hours of the morining. He was shackled from hands to feet and told little about what was happening. Jalil was then taken in a van 4 and 1/2 hours away to Downstate with two chase cars in tow. Afterwards, the goon squad (with masks and riot gear) came to take him out of the car into the hospital emergency entrance. There he met out of state detectives and told that they wanted his DNA. Even though they have had Jalil's DNA on file now for a while (as it is the law), they seemed to need his DNA again. For what? If they have it already, why do they want more? To plant it somewhere so he can be falsely accused again of another crime he didn't committ. If you think this is unthinkable, you should really take the time to read the legal section of the website www.freejalil.com
Anyway, fortunately he was not harmed this time, and they returned him back to Auburn prison. This incident is highly suspicious and ridiculous, especially so close to the parole hearing. I can't fully explain why right now. Perhaps, we'll have something posted on the freejalil.com website soon. Just please keep your eyes and ears open. And if you haven't please write and send support letters for his parole asap. It's not too late. And if possible make it as personal as possible. Ask for pointers if you need them. Thank you for your time. And thanks for all the support for Jalil and all political prisoners.
