PLN Enjoins Fulton County Jail Ban on Publications

Attached is the ruling from the federal court in Atlanta granting a preliminary injunction enjoining the Fulton county jail’s ban on all publications. They purported to have changed the policy shortly after we sued but the judge wasn’t buying it, noting they have been enjoined before.

If anyone has clients or friends in the Fulton county jail it would be good to find out if prisoners are now receiving books and publications. If you can find out please send the responses to me. As usual with PLN litigation, the court ruling applies to all publishers, not just PLN. So now prisoners can receive books and publications where before they could receive none.

PLN’s attorneys, Brian Spears and Gerry Weber of Atlanta, have done a magnificent job representing us.
