Action Directe Prisoner Solidarity With Turkish Hunger Strikers

Communiqué from JM Rouillan and GI Abdallah who were on hunger strike from the 15th to the 18th December in solidarity with the resistance in Turkish prisons.

After our sentences by the French exception tribunals, the State still hold us in security prisons.

They sentenced Georges Ibrahim Abdallah to 23 years and Jean-Marc Rouillan to 20 years. Throughout the years we have come to know the total isolation cells as well as the normalization pretense of the high security regimes.

Our political experiences within jail drive us to a conclusion: our “criminal arrest” has only one true aim, to individualise the revolutionary militant, to drive him/her to reject his/her combatant past or to destroy him/her physically and physiologically.

This ill-treatment perpetuates as long as the prisoner refuses to acknowledge the role that the governors want him/her to consent to: a puppet at the service of counter-propaganda!

It has been this way since the utilization of the cells of sensorial obstruction against the first RAF prisoners in the early 70’s. Gradually this ill-treatment of ‘pacification’ and ‘blackmail’ has been used by all the reactionary regimes in Europe: QHS and QI here in France, FIES in Spain, H-Blocks in the North of Ireland, F-type prisons in Turkey, etc…and we have fought everywhere against this unequal battle. After seven years of a gigantic sacrifice, our comrades in Turkey raise the flag of prison resistance. All 121 of them have already paid with their lives.

With this symbolic action we want to highlight our message of solidarity with our comrades in Turkish jails. Likewise we would like to salute all the delegations and groups working against prison isolation.

In this homage, we would also like to regain the memory of those comrades who died in the same struggle against prison destruction such as: Holger Meins, Bobby Sands, Patsy O’Hara, Kepa Crespo Galende...and the rest of them from all the countries and guerrillas.
